Spring has finally arrived in Whistler which was this year, overwhelmed by heavy snowfall and seemless never-ending cold winter winds. The recently melted snow-covered streets and valley ponds filed with green-coloured skunk cabbage catches the eye. Tree buds that had stopped growing due to the cold weather have started to grow and reveal their greenish hues. Also, this year’s “taranome” are just beginning to open up. All three golf courses in the Whistler area are open. Due to the record-breaking snowfall from ast season the spring ski season this year has become a long one, one can enjoy a fascinating scene with a mixture of both winter and summer sports.
