It is now May and the spring season is filling the student’s lives with adventure. Whistler Mountain is now open for spring skiing and snowboarding and the daily weather conditions have been sunny and beautiful. As for the Whistler valley down below, a majority of the outdoor activities have come out of hibernation and await the students to culminate them through out the next several months. The Advantage students went mountain biking the other day around the Whistler valley trail which encompasses the various lakes around the valley. After a 2 hour bike ride around Green Lake, Lost Lake and the huge golf courses around Whistler with the teachers, students got some insight on the awesome surroundings and activities in Whistler. Already they had a chance to see some of these activities taking place. Canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, were among some. The teachers’ knowledge of the various canadian plants, trees and wildlife were among some of the highlights of the trip. Soon to come, is a summer in Whistler that will be as memorable as can be!
