For those people who are interested in working in Whistler next season: At Advantage E/J we offer everything from daily conversation to help with writing resumes, employment opportunities are available for students who take a minimum 2 month course. It is now May and the spring season is filling the student's lives with adventure. Whistler Mountain is now open for spring skiing and snowboarding and the daily weather conditions have been sunny and beautiful. As for the Whistler valley down below, a majority of the outdoor activities have come out of hibernation and await the students to culminate them through out the next several months. The Advantage students went mountain biking the other day around the Whistler valley trail which encompasses the various lakes around the valley. After a 2 hour bike ride around Green Lake, Lost Lake and the huge golf courses around Whistler with the teachers, students got some insight on the awesome surroundings and activities in Whistler. Already they had a chance to see some of these activities taking place. Canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, were among some. The teachers' knowledge of the various canadian plants, trees and wildlife were among some of the highlights of the trip. Soon to come, is a summer in Whistler that will be as memorable as can be!

The weather remains cool as we head toward the end of March. As a result, the snow on the mountain is lasting much longer than the previous year and snow conditions are still excellent! Although it is April, everyone is still getting their daily dose of powder. It is also the time of year when most students are ready to part their ways and return home. We held a goodbye party for all of the students and staff that included a very international karaoke, Twister, and a surprise birthday cake for one of the students...an evening of celebration and merriment that will be remembered---a perfect way to finish off the season!

Whistler is starting to get in the mood for the 2010 winter olympics as it gets closer. Ski and snowboard national team athletes from all over the world came to train here because of the large amount of snow that we had last season. Why not study english while skiing and snowboarding in the #1 ski resort in North America!


Register in our optional program which is a special program for Freestyle Skiing. Open to those who want to simply improve their skills or for those who want to become professional Mogul/Freeride skiers. Other ski/snowboard programs are also available.
