For those people who are interested in working in Whistler next season: At Advantage E/J we offer everything from daily conversation to help with writing resumes, employment opportunities are available for students who take a minimum 2 month course. The ski season is on its way, as it has already snowed on the peaks of both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. It has been confirmed that the opening date for 2008/2009 season will be November 27, 2008. On a calm autumn day, Advantage E/J students went on a hiking expedition deep in the wilderness around Cougar Mountain. We felt Mother nature's greatness being surrounded by giant cedars more than 500 years old. Some of the students piled rocks at the sides of trails on top of each other in order to make Inuksuit (Plural of Inuksuk, a man-made stone landmark or cairn used by the Inuit) the symbol of the 2010 Winter Olympics . Everybody certainly enjoyed the hours spent fully immersed in nature. In winter, Cougar Mountain is a famous local spot for snowmobiling.

We have developed a unique and fun Music Class which will allow our students to learn English through music. The instructor Pat, is an experienced music teacher, we had a great time singing and listening to her beautiful voice. During the lesson, we had a big surprise for two of the students, Lorena, a student from that class, had made a delicious home-made birthday cake to celebrate Yusill and Su-been's birthdays which were both in September. Thank you Lorena. What a sweet surprise! Happy Birthday to Yusill and Su-been!









Whistler is starting to get in the mood for the 2010 winter olympics as it gets closer. Ski and snowboard national team athletes from all over the world came to train here because of the large amount of snow that we had last season. Why not study english while skiing and snowboarding in the #1 ski resort in North America!


Register in our optional program which is a special program for Freestyle Skiing. Open to those who want to simply improve their skills or for those who want to become professional Mogul/Freeride skiers. Other ski/snowboard programs are also available.
